Eng. John Mosonik, CBS, was appointed Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining by President Uhuru Kenyatta in March 2018.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Administrative Secretary, he served as Principal Secretary, State Department for Infrastructure in the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development.
He holds an MBA in Strategic Management, Master of Science in Finance and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Eng. Mosonik’s wealth of experience spans for over thirty (30) years, gained after lengthy engagements with both the Public and Private Sectors, Development Partners and Non Governmental Organisations.
He has previously worked as Industrialization Secretary in the Ministry of Industrialization, as Director for Strategy at Sameer Group ICT Companies, as Deputy Managing Director at Telkom Kenya Limited and as General Manager at Gilgil Telecom Industries, among other senior positions.Eng. Mosonik is trained in various fields including Corporate Governance, Strategic Management and Economic Analysis; Telecoms Engineering and Electronic Technology Production Process, Telecommunications, Executive Management and Telecoms Network.
Eng. Mosonik is a member of Engineers Registration Board of Kenya.
